According to ACP Abayomi Shogunle, the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Complaint Response Unit, who posted the feat on his Twitter account, the 27-year-old suspect, Sunday Onjefu, was arrested on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Itedo bus stop, Lekki Phase 1 area. Onjefu, an indigene of Benue State, was arrested by the Maroko Police Division while allegedly dispossessing some ladies of their handbags and other valuables, i the early hours of the day. Uncannily, two plastic toy guns and a knife he used in threatening the ladies were recovered from him.

A Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja, on Monday granted a 23-year-old sales girl, Ekaete Nwen, bail in the sum of N50, 000 for allegedly tearing a police officer’s uniform. The presiding officer, Alhaji Umar Kagarko, ordered the defendant to produce one reliable surety who must reside within the court’s jurisdiction. Kagarko adjourned the case till Sept. 28 for hearing. Oritsefemi's manager, Danku and artiste, Rayce have been seriously injured in a car crash. The duo were reportedly hit by a Dangote truck at Sango-Ota, Ogun State on Sunday, July 31, 2016. Danku who was in the car with his new artiste, Rayce, his label boss, Ebony and a bouncer opened up about the incidence "my brother, imagine we were coming from a show in Illorin and nothing happened to us until we got to Sango. This Dangote truck just slammed into me from behind and it caused a ripple effect ramming into about four other cars. Everyone in my car including Rayce sustained serious injuries, we are all in one hospital at Agege now. I'm not sure whats wrong with me yet o". A small basket of tomato, which sold for N25,000 in May, is now going for N800 in Kaduna. And, no, it is not a joke. It had been all anger and pain for households as the price of tomatoes hit the roof across the country as a result of scarcity caused by tuta absoluta, also known as “tomato ebola”. This affected the crop in most parts of the north-west, notably Kaduna, Jigawa, Katsina and Kano states. As a result, the basket prices jumped from the range of N800-N1200 to between N25,000 and N40,000 at the height of the crisis. At the Line Dogo (Rail Line) tomatoes and vegetable market in Kaduna on Saturday, it was a beehive of activities. Buyers could not believe their eyes as tomato prices had crashed to a two-month low. Abass Mai Tumatur, chairman of the tomato sellers, told newsmen it was a “pleasant relief” for everyone as tomato is now available and in large quantities. “Tomato scarcity is nothing new, but it was made worse this year  by the invasion of the moth,”
