Wife stabs Police Inspector to death in Ondo

A Police Inspector’s wife in Ondo state, Wumi Omowa has been arrested for allegedly killing her husband, Israel. The suspect was arrested by men of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in connection with the alleged murder of her husband. It was gathered that the suspect stabbed her husband several times in different parts of his body when an argument ensued between them over a domestic issue. The incident according to a reliable source happened at the couple’s residence located at Olu Foam area, along Ilesa-Owo highway in Akure. The deceased Police Officer who was in his mid 30s reportedly married his wife four years ago and they were both living peacefully before the incident. Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations officer (PPRO) Mr Femi Joseph said Omowa was confirmed dead at a Private hospital in Akure where his wife rushed him to after stabbing him. my fellow readers what do you have to say to this please comment

Ebola scare hits Nigeria, 10 quarantined

More than a year after the Ebola-infected diplomat, Patrick Sawyer sent shivers down our spine after entering the country with the deadly virus, The University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH, has quarantined ten persons following the death of a patient in the hospital on Wednesday with symptoms suspected to be Ebola virus.   Dr. Queeneth Kalu, Chairman of  Medical Advisory Committee of the hospital who made the revelation on Thursday in Calabar while addressing pressmen  said blood samples have been sent to the Ebola Diagnosing Centre in Benin Edo State. Woman Gives Birth To Heaviest Baby In India

Mother Goga Bai​ set a new record in India​ last week when she gave birth to a baby that weighs a whopping 13 pounds, reportedly setting the record for heaviest baby in the country. The 30-year-old mom gave birth to the big boy via Caesarian on Oct. 1 at a hospital near her hometown of Rajasthan in Northern India. According to Dr. Anamika Agarwal, one of the four doctors who delivered the newborn, he’s certainly in a league of his own when it comes to baby weight. “He is definitely the heaviest baby in the country. The normal weight of a newborn baby in India is 2.5 to 3.5kg [5 to 7 pounds],”   Dr. Agarwal told The Huffington Post. While the baby had breathing problems at first, both he and his mother are reportedly now in good health. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the heaviest baby in the world was born in Italy in 1955 and weighed 22 pounds and 8 ounces. The heaviest baby in America was born in Ohio in 1879 and weighed 22 pounds, but died 11 hours later.

Naked Prisoner Scaled Fence To Escape From Prison

A naked prisoner scaled the walls of a Mexican prison and over a 15ft barbed wire fence before fleeing into the streets. Juan Pablo Pena Ford, who later grabbed a jacket from a clothes line and pulled it around his waist, was being held at the prison in the city of Ciudad Oregon in the north-west Mexican State of Sonora. He escaped out of a window of the prison's shower block while guards thought he was washing. Pena Ford, who was being held for an unspecified minor offense, fled barefoot into the neighborhood of Real del Sol and footage of his escape has proved popular on social media.

27 Nigerian states to experience floods in 2015 – NIHSA

The Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency has warned that 27 states across the country may be affected by floods this year. The agency said 25 states had already experienced different levels of flood, as it advised people living in flood prone areas to evacuate such locations in order to avoid being caught up by flash floods. NIHSA, in its Annual Flood Outlook for 2015, said findings revealed that most states in Nigeria would be hit by flood this year, as it stressed that the situation may be severe due to the heavy rains experienced in many parts of the country. The Director-General, NIHSA, Mr. Moses Beckley, in a document obtained by our correspondent in Abuja on Monday, said the rise in sea levels and ocean surges had already caused flooding in some coastal areas. Nigerian man sentenced to prison for m*sturbating & ejaculating on female passenger on London train

Peter Fabiyi, 32, was on Wednesday, September 30, sentenced to 3 years and nine months in prison by Blackfriars Crown Court after he masturbated and ejaculated over a woman while on a London Underground train. Fabiyi committed the offence on Wednesday, July 2014. The victim, a woman in her 20s boarded a train towards Mitcham Junction and traveled a few stops before she realized that Fabiyi was standing directly in front of her with his trousers undone as the train left Elephant and Castle station in central London, after which he performed the sex act while they were both alone in the carriage. The tool estimates a person's risk based on age, race and ethnicity, family history, whether or not they have had a breast biopsy in the past, and breast density.
