The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has warned of some Maggi noodles produced by Nestle India. NAFDAC said these noodles contained excess lead and were therefore deemed unsafe and hazardous for human consumption. “Nestle has recalled its Maggi instant noodles from stores across India following the report by the Indian Food Safety Regulators of probable lead contamination. Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, today begged President Muhammadu Buhari to give him the privilege of nominating an Ekiti State indigene for appointment into Buhari’s cabinet. Fayose, who was one of Buhari’s biggest opponents in the run-up to the March presidential election, said this in a statement on Tuesday. The governor said he had written to Buhari and was hopeful that the President’s reply would be favourable.
